Mountain Man at Woodlands
Woodlands is a specialty independent running 3 Bay Area stores, small-format at about 2,336 sq ft each, indexing high on clean-organic versus other Bay Area grocers.
Mountain Man isn’t on Woodlands’ shelf yet in any of its 3 stores. The opening: 1 category where the shelf is already deep and the brand runs strong elsewhere.
Lead with Low Sugar Dried Peaches in Other Dried Fruit.
Woodlands stocks other dried fruit thinly, so a differentiated snack stands out instead of becoming the Nth option on a crowded shelf. It already earns space at 1 other Bay Area grocer.
The more differentiated opening is other dried fruit: Woodlands stocks only 6 there, so Mountain Man Low Sugar Dried Peaches stands out rather than blending in.

no strong clean/diet signal either way.
brand excitement 55/100.
