Seventh Generation at Woodlands
Woodlands is a specialty independent running 3 Bay Area stores, small-format at about 2,336 sq ft each, indexing high on clean-organic versus other Bay Area grocers.
Seventh Generation is an American company known for its eco-friendly household and personal care products.
Seventh Generation isn’t on Woodlands’ shelf yet in any of its 3 stores. The opening: 1 category where the shelf is already deep and the brand runs strong elsewhere.
Lead with Hand Soap Mandarin Orange & Grapefruit Scent in Hand Soap.
Woodlands stocks hand soap thinly, so a differentiated snack stands out instead of becoming the Nth option on a crowded shelf. It already earns space at 2 other Bay Area grocers.
Woodlands carries hand soap in real depth, 24 SKUs against a fleet median of 10, so a new entry there is the Nth option, and its per-unit price would likely sit near the top of a crowded shelf.
