The Pathfinder at Woodlands
Woodlands is a specialty independent running 3 Bay Area stores, small-format at about 2,336 sq ft each, indexing high on clean-organic versus other Bay Area grocers.
The Pathfinder offers a range of non-alcoholic beverages that blend complex botanical flavors with innovative craftsmanship.
The Pathfinder isn’t on Woodlands’ shelf yet in any of its 3 stores. The opening: 1 category where the shelf is already deep and the brand runs strong elsewhere.
Lead with Negroni, Non Alcoholic in Non-Alcoholic Cocktails.
Woodlands stocks non-alcoholic cocktails thinly, so a differentiated snack stands out instead of becoming the Nth option on a crowded shelf. It already earns space at 2 other Bay Area grocers.
The more differentiated opening is non-alcoholic cocktails: Woodlands stocks only 9 there, so The Pathfinder Negroni, Non Alcoholic stands out rather than blending in.
Woodlands merchandises 1 of the 3 categories the brand sells.
no strong clean/diet signal either way.
brand excitement 85/100.

The full runway · across 3 stores
Every category The Pathfinder plays in across the Bay Area grocers we track, and where it stands at Woodlands. Depth is the distinct SKUs the store carries there versus the fleet median, shown next to the rival brands already on that shelf.
Not here yet, but the shelf is real: a clean first door into a category the brand runs deep in.
The store barely carries this category, so it is a hard sell.
