Reading the shelf…
Andronico's Community Markets is a specialty independent running 7 Bay Area stores, large-format at about 25,622 sq ft each, indexing high on established names versus other Bay Area grocers.
North American Trading isn’t on Andronico's Community Markets’ shelf yet in any of its 7 stores. The opening: 1 category where the shelf is already deep and the brand runs strong elsewhere.
Lead with Rabbit Sauce Dish in Other Sauces.
Andronico's Community Markets stocks other sauces thinly, so a differentiated snack stands out instead of becoming the Nth option on a crowded shelf. It already earns space at 1 other Bay Area grocer.
Andronico's Community Markets carries other sauces in real depth, 35 SKUs against a fleet median of 11, so a new entry there is the Nth option, and its per-unit price would likely sit near the top of a crowded shelf.
