Sweet Ella's at Woodlands
Woodlands is a specialty independent running 3 Bay Area stores, small-format at about 2,336 sq ft each, indexing high on clean-organic versus other Bay Area grocers.
Sweet Ella's isn’t on Woodlands’ shelf yet in any of its 3 stores. The opening: 1 category where the shelf is already deep and the brand runs strong elsewhere.
Lead with Organic Crunchy Peanut Butter in Peanut Butter.
Woodlands stocks peanut butter thinly, so a differentiated snack stands out instead of becoming the Nth option on a crowded shelf. It already earns space at 1 other Bay Area grocer.
The more differentiated opening is peanut butter: Woodlands stocks only 12 there, so Sweet Ella's Organic Crunchy Peanut Butter stands out rather than blending in.
