Cypress Grove at Gus's Community Market
Gus's Community Market is a specialty independent running 4 Bay Area stores, mid-size at about 13,527 sq ft each, indexing high on established names versus other Bay Area grocers.
Cypress Grove is a renowned American cheese producer based in Arcata, California, specializing in artisan goat cheeses.
It’s already on the shelf here, with 9 SKUs across 2 categories. The growth is depth and breadth: 1 category to widen and 2 new doors to enter, replicated across all 4 stores.
Lead with Midnight Moon in Goat Cheese.
Gus's Community Market stocks goat cheese thinly, so a differentiated snack stands out instead of becoming the Nth option on a crowded shelf. It already earns space at 2 other Bay Area grocers.
Gus's Community Market carries goat cheese in real depth, 28 SKUs against a fleet median of 10, so a new entry there is the Nth option, and its per-unit price would likely sit near the top of a crowded shelf.
Gus's Community Market merchandises 4 of the 5 categories the brand sells.
