Kinnikinnick at Woodlands
Woodlands is a specialty independent running 3 Bay Area stores, small-format at about 2,336 sq ft each, indexing high on clean-organic versus other Bay Area grocers.
Kinnikinnick isn’t on Woodlands’ shelf yet in any of its 3 stores. The opening: 3 categories where the shelf is already deep and the brand runs strong elsewhere.
Lead with Crackers, Graham Style, Gluten-Free in Graham Crackers.
Woodlands stocks graham crackers thinly, so a differentiated snack stands out instead of becoming the Nth option on a crowded shelf. It already earns space at 3 other Bay Area grocers.
The more differentiated opening is graham crackers: Woodlands stocks only 5 there, so Kinnikinnick Crackers, Graham Style, Gluten-Free stands out rather than blending in.
Woodlands merchandises 4 of the 5 categories the brand sells.
